Carla Lane Animals in Need
We are Carla Lane Animals in Need, a Liverpool-based rescue established over 30 years ago by trustees Fran Ellis and Margaret Brady. After a rocky start, they managed to acquire enough funding to purchase their current grounds, which were once an abandoned turkey farm! Since then, the rescue has gone from strength to strength, gaining more supporters and a core of dedicated staff, and every year we rescue, rehabilitate and rehome hundreds of dogs and cats.

Freshfields began almost 50 years ago from the powerful commitment of one moment, and that resolve still lies at the very heart of who we are today.
We are committed to the protection of family companions large and small, farm animals, and sick and injured wildlife. The unwanted, abandoned, neglected and abused, the young, the old, they all deserved a second chance at life. We have provided a safe place for almost 97,000 animals in need, and still counting.
