RSPCA – Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

The RSPCA has been at the heart of animal welfare in the UK since 1824, rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals in need. They work tirelessly to prevent cruelty, campaign for better laws, and educate the public on responsible pet ownership. Every year, they care for thousands of dogs, giving them a second chance at a happy life.

Carla Lane Animals in Need

We are Carla Lane Animals in Need, a Liverpool-based rescue established over 30 years ago by trustees Fran Ellis and Margaret Brady. After a rocky start, they managed to acquire enough funding to purchase our current grounds, which were once an abandoned turkey farm! Since then, the rescue has gone from strength to strength, gaining more supporters and a core of dedicated staff, and every year we rescue, rehabilitate and rehome hundreds of dogs and cats.

Freshfields Charity Shops

Our shops staff and volunteers work tirelessly to help raise the funds needed to support the many animals in our care. The money raised via donations of goods and purchases of the same also helps to fund Freshfields outreach initiatives and support our work within the local community. Our shops also represent the charity locally, they provide us with the opportunity to spread awareness of the work we do and to share our passion for animals. Why not show your support and pay us a visit?
