Darren Priddle & Jacqui Law

We are thrilled to welcome Darren Priddle and Jacqui Law, co-founders of Dogs 4 Wildlife, to our Guest Speaker Marquee this weekend.

Based in Carmarthen, Wales, Dogs 4 Wildlife is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to the conservation of endangered species through the deployment of specially trained dogs. With over 15 years of experience in training operational working dogs, Darren and Jacqui have combined their expertise to develop canine units that assist in anti-poaching efforts across sub-Saharan Africa.

Their mission involves breeding and training dogs in-house to work alongside rangers in tracking poachers and detecting illegal wildlife products. These canine units have been instrumental in protecting iconic animals like rhinos and elephants, enhancing biodiversity, and supporting local economies through ecotourism.

During their session, Darren and Jacqui will share insights into their journey, the training methods employed, and the real-world impact of their work. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how canine conservation units operate and the vital role they play in wildlife preservation.

Alison Colley – Founder, Hope’s Therapy Dogs

We are honoured to welcome Alison Colley, founder of Hope’s Therapy Dogs, to our Guest Speaker Marquee this weekend.

Hope’s Therapy Dogs was founded in April 2021 in honour of Alison’s daughter, Hope, whose final wish was to help others find comfort and support through therapy dogs. Inspired by Hope’s vision, Alison created a service that provides animal-assisted emotional and mental health support to children and young people across the North West.

Under Alison’s leadership, the organisation has grown to operate in 16 schools, providing vital weekly support to between 70–90 children. Her incredible work has recently been recognised and she deservedly received the BBC Radio Merseyside Make a Difference Award in 2024.

In her session, Alison will share the story behind Hope’s Therapy Dogs, explain the role of therapy dogs in emotional wellbeing, and offer insights into how the dogs are trained and matched for their important work. The Dog Psychologist

Come and meet the Dog Psychologist and learn all about your dog's behaviour and psyche. Do not miss out on the opportunity to understand your dog's world!

Rachel is a holistic dog psychologist, helping dogs overcome behaviour problems and humans understand their dogs. Through her work, she coaches dog parents how to easily adjust the brain and body chemicals a dog needs to lead a calm and happy life. Sounds complicated but Rachel reminds us that anyone can do this and in her view it's essential that we embrace these simple steps!

Rachel has developed her knowledge through degree level studies in Psychology, complemented with a Canine Behaviour Diploma through the British College of Canine Studies which is accredited by the Pet Education Training and Behaviour Council. These as well as her additional qualifications in Research Methods and Canine Health and Nutrition all ensure her knowledge is based on up to date research.

This knowledge has helped her rehabilitate many dogs, some who's owners had been told their dogs could not be helped. She advocates against the use of aversive methods and particularly the use of pain  or choking to remedy behavioural problems.
